No Points for guessing why. Outstanding season with the Red Devils, if he do well for Portugal as well as he does for Man Utd, Portugal have a huge gem in their team and Luis Felipe Scolari would be happy as a lark. 42 goals for Man Utd in all competitions, I don't expect him to do the same thing for Portugal, but in Euro 08 he may just have more assists than goals. An excellent dribbler, his stepovers can cause sore eyes for his opponents. Definitely the man to watch.

Kaka? Who is him?

Haha.. Presently, Kaka is one of the best footballer in the world together with Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. However in my perceptions and opinions, he is the best simply with one reason. He is a very devoted Christian! He always let everyone know he is the son of God through many ways during and just after a football matches in the stadium. Most of the matches are telecasted to almost every part of the world. The saddess part is he is still not a Manchester United's player which I hope he is.

Below are description on Kaka relationship with the real and creator of this universe, Heavenly Father which I quote from wikipedia.

Kaka

Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite (Portuguese pronunciation: [xiˈkaɾdʊ iˈzɛksõᵑ dʊs‿ˈsɐ̃ᵑtʊs ˈleɪ̯t͡ʃɪ]; born April 22, 1982), known as Kaká, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as forward and midfielder for Italian Serie A club Milan and the Brazilian national team. He was the recipient of both the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year awards in 2007, and was named in the 2008 Time 100. As of February 2009, Kaká along with Internazionale's Zlatan Ibrahimović are the highest salaried football players in the world.

Early life

Kaká was born in Brasilia to Simone Cristina Santos Leite and Bosco Izecson Pereira Leite (a civil engineer). Although most Brazilian footballers come from poor families, there are exceptions and Kaká is one of them as he was born in a relatively rich family that encouraged him to focus on both school and football at the same time. His younger brother, Rodrigo (known as Digão), is also a professional footballer.

When he was seven, his family moved to São Paulo. His school had arranged him in a local youth club called "Alphaville," who qualified to the final in a local tournament. There he was discovered by Brazilian side São Paulo, who offered an assignment.

At the age of fifteen, Kaká suffered a career-threatening and possibly paralysis-inducing spinal fracture as a result of a swimming pool accident , but remarkably made a full recovery. He attributes his recovery to God and has since tithed his income to his church.

Personal Life and Religion

A devout evangelical Christian, Kaká became engrossed in religion at twelve: "I learnt that it is faith that decides whether something will happen or not." He removed his jersey to reveal an "I Belong to Jesus" T-shirt and openly engaged in prayer moments after the final whistle of Brazil's 2002 World Cup, and Milan's 2004 Scudetto and 2007 Champions League triumphs. He also had the same phrase, along with "God Is Faithful" stitched onto the tongues of his boots. During the postmatch celebration following Brazil's 4–1 win over Argentina in the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup final, he and several of his teammates wore T-shirts that read "Jesus Loves You" in various languages.

Kaká is a member of the organization Atletas de Cristo ("Athletes of Christ"). His goal celebration consists of him pointing to the sky as a gesture of thanks to God. Kaká's favourite music is gospel, and his favourite book is the Bible. Since November 2004, he has served as an Ambassador Against Hunger for the United Nations' World Food Programme, the youngest to do so at the time of his appointment.

Brad Pitt: Why I Couldn't Give a Shitpic

Here it is Sunday and I have had the opportunity to see a few movies this weekend. Inevitably, as I talk about said movies with friends of the female persuasion, the oohing and the ahhing and the gushing will ultimately consume the entire conversation at the very mention of the name: Brad Pitt.
Am I the only one who doesn't find him attractive in the least? Not only Mr. Pitt, but most male actors in general. I don't think any of them are all that great. Not Matt Damon, not Matthew Mc...an..ah...hey... not Ben Affleck... and definately not Brad Pitt. I have never been the type of girl who could get caught up in that fake crush garbage over Ashton Kutcher or Justin Timberlake and I'm glad for that. I remember when I was in high school. I had befriended a girl who was absolutely convinced that Eddie Vedder was her man. The whole wife thing was barely a blemish on the fact that she was going to eventually marry him and have his nasty little babies. I think of that every now and then when a girl flips out over some guy in a movie. I think of my crazed high school friend that most likely carved the various combinations of her and his name into her arm.

Granted most girls who think Brad is just the cutest aren't sending away for locks of his hair in the mail, but I always wondered why it was that I wasn't impressed with the on-air male persona. Is it my lack of imagination or is it that sports heros are much better looking. I think it could be the latter. Anyway, it reminded me of this conversation I had about a year ago. I was at dinner with Mike and our close friend, Wayne. It was just after I had lost a job and was feeling borderline hysterical... but as usual, a good dinner with friends can do wonders. We were all making a list of our top five "celebrity crushes" and all of us were having a really hard time, but it was pretty darn funny. I actually went back and looked at the final list that I had left on a blog for Wayne and in just a year, I think I can make some changes for the better.

It is my hope that this list will make me a little more normal, a little less practical, and a little more... ehhhh. Retarded.
Anyway, here goes:

Jenny's list o' celebrity crushes:
1. Brett Favre-- football star
Seriously. Sports stars are the way to go. Forget those fruity actor boys.

2. Jeff Francoeur-- baseball star
The crazy wife person hanging on him is inconsequentional:

3. Scott Patterson-- baseball star TURNED actor
Now is a good time to point out that this list is not in any specific order:

4. John Cusack-- Actor
I'm talking Better Off Dead Cusack and NOT Being John Malkovich Cusack:

5. Michael Cera-- Actor
This one took some work. I normally go for older men... but for Michael Cera, I am 8 years his senior. Yikes:

6. Mark Ruffalo-- Actor
Since I was edging my way to junior high before Michael Cera could eat solid foods, I think I deserve a back-up. If Mark Ruffallo could just do a few more decent movies and promise to never attempt facial hair again, it would be okay:

There you have it. My five, plus one, list of non-Pitts that are worthy of the girly-girl attention. My absolute favorite, though, is this guy:

So hands off.
Last year's bumped candidates include:
David Schwimmer,

Jake Gylenhall,

Jonathon Crombie,

Andy Roddick,

and JJ Redick.
I could probably be convinced to keep Jonathon Crombie, but the rest are all so yesterday.

Michael Phelps...Blog stats go thru roof! Olympic fans pic

pics!

Well, when I posted a blurb on Michael Phelps yesterday, I didn't anticipate that his remarkable performance at the Olympics in recent days would boost the hunky swimmer into such celebrated International Sports-Star Status!

The truth confronted me this morning when I checked my blog stats.

There were so many hits that he garnered top slot and left all the other popular posts in his wake.

Olympic enthusiasts appear to be hungry for anything that is "Michael Phelps".

I expect there will be million-dollar product endorsements, TV commercials, a line of sportswear.

You name it, Michael. The sky - er - "cube" - is no limit!

Tonight, the world will be buzzing as Phelps strives for his sixth gold win.

Tune in. Be a part of History.

katrena kaif boom star

Accidents seem to have become a way of life for Katrina Kaif. Katrina badly injured her face while shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Katrina Kaif.
Ghazab Kahaani at Madh Island recently.
A unit hand said, “It was an emotional scene. It so happened that Ranbir Kapoor was supposed to slap her in the scene. He missed the mark and ended up hurting Katrina. Santoshi asked her to take a day off to rest. But Katrina was back at work the next day.” After that, Katrina met with accident yet again and this time it was on the sets of De Dhana Dhan. A source close to the actress says, “Katrina was to shoot an underwater sequence for the film. But while doing that she badly injured her leg. It began bleeding profusely.”

When Katrina returned to shoot the next day the wound had not healed and began bleeding profusely once again. However, She managed to complete the shoot. We hope, she has an accident-free year ahead.

irthday

We rented the pool at the Happy Fish Swim school to celebrate Kaka's (and Satwik's too) 10th birthday. The children had lots of fun soaking in the pool before cakes were cut. Click on the picture below to see the web album from the event.

ng. I could go on with a list of excuses- some legit (moving back into college, lack of news) and some less legit (my sheer and utter laziness) but I won’t. At this point I’d just like to thank you guys for still checking here. Because you guys deserve better. Now that I’m back at college and have a comfortable schedule with oodles of free time, I’ll be blogging more often. And this time, I mean it. Hopefully.

Last time we met, the transfer window just opened and we discussed a move to Man City for Gigi Buffon. Turns out Buffon isn’t good enough for Man Citeh though- or maybe he’s just too damn cheap. I mean, just look at what they use as toilet paper over in the Eastlands. They’re after Kaka now, and I’m sure you guys are as tired of hearing about this as I am. I’d just like to take a more Italia-oriented viewpoint at this.

On one hand, it could be very positive. Selling Kaka would mean that Milan loses a superstar- and undoubtedly one of the best players on this Earth when on form- but with 120 MILLION DOLLARS Milan could buy a brand new team. Or at least defenders/replacements for thier aging guys, which is mostly everyone on the team. The only problem is that Milan haven’t exactly been stellar at transfers in the past few years. They’ve brought back an aging and crappy Sheva and Ronaldinho, who is quite good but may be one of the reasons why Kaka wants to leave in the first place. Then again, they did bring in Pato, one of the most exciting and skilled young strikers out there. So losing one superstar could mean Milan would buy three or four more. Of course, this is risky because they might not do that. They could buy crappier players or even no one at all. But the tradeoff here could be worth it.

But on the other hand, this could be a huge loss for calcio and Serie A in general. Losing Kaka means losing one of the big superstars of the peninsula, and unless Milan bring in another one, Italy’s image will take a hit. It’s a delicate situation with no real answer. But so far, Kaka seems to want to stay. And the final word will be his. Let’s not forget that Kaka is not a mercenary- anything but. The man who so often has “I belong to Jesus” written on his undershirt is unlikely to be in this for the money. Would a true soccer superstar even want to leave a club like Milan and Champions League football next year for one mired in the relegation zone?

Even more disturbing is that this could leave calcio with a huge void. There’s a common notion that the three best players in the world currently are Messi, Ronaldo, and Kaka (And no I don’t really care if you agree with me on this. They’re the biggest superstars and on form are probably the best 3). If Kaka leaves, that means Serie A loses a very important reference point. Furthermore, it raises a ton of other questions, like club loyalty and the issue of a salary cap. This one transfer could open up a can of worms.

The Kaka saga aside, Serie A as a whole is in some exciting times. Juve and Inter are really close at the top of the table, and the bottom half of the table has some surprises of it’s own, like Samp and Udinese. Of course as a Roma fan I’ve been loving the recent resurgence and will be watching the rest of the games very nervously to see that we finish in the fourth spot. Don’t even want to imagine what will happen if we don’t.

Moving onto other topics, all has been relatively quiet on the Azzurri front. We still have that friendly against Brazil next month, and I’ll have a preview up soon. But there’s really been no huge news from Lippi or anyone else. Other than that he wouldn’t mind gay players on the team, and that’s hardly earthshaking stuff. Amauri is still a jackass and hasn’t picked a team and Buffon has finally returned from injury, but all in all it’s been a quiet time for Italy.

I was browsing theoffside.com as I often do, and I found a link to this excellent, excellent article. It’s very similar to something I was going to do, but this is written far better than I ever could’ve written it. I highly recommend that anyone even remotely interested in calcio- or soccer in general- give this a read.

He married his childhood sweetheart Caroline Celico on 23 December 2005 at the evangelical Reborn in Christ Church in São Paulo. Their first child, Luca Celico Leite, was born in São Paulo on June 10, 2008.

Haha.. and according to Kaka.. after retire, he may consider to become a Pastor in Brazil! Glory to God!
